While there are some restrictions on what type of loans you may qualify for, depending on the type of felony you have, this should not deter you from applying for a student loan for school. If you are looking for careers for felons and you want to go to school, the federal student loan program is definately a program you will want to consider as a resource for loans for felons. To determine your eligibility, the first step is to fill out your FASFA form so the college can determine what grants for felons you will qualify for first and then the school can help you determine what federal student loan programs are open to you as well. School Grants for Felons with FASFA Online

School grants for felons can be obtained online by first completing your FASFA form.    With the passing of the deadline of the federal income taxes for 2010, you can now take your income tax forms and fill out the FASFA form online.   Once this form is complete, you will receive an SAR report in the mail, or by email, which will give the school information on your financial need.  Once this information is obtained, you can determine your financial need and then the school can begin to provide you with grants and other forms of financial aid.   Be sure, then, that you complete your FASFA online as soon as possible.   Grants for felons can be found online through a variety of resources but your first step should be to contact your school once your SAR and FASFA are complete.   Keep in mind, also, that loans for felons can be obtained through the federal student loan program through your financial aid office as well.
