A grant for felons can be obtained through a variety of resources, at local, state, and even federal levels. 


If you are a convicted felon, and if you want to go to school, then it is important to first complete your FASFA form online so you can be considered for pell grant eligibility.   Because there are pell grant income requirements, most convicted felons qualify for these types of school grants for felons simply because of a lack of employment and financial hardship.   So, even if you have not decided on what school you want attend, go ahead and fill out your FASFA online because the financial aid process can take some time.  Once you know what school you will go to, then you can give them your final SAR which is the document you will receive once you get the FASFA form completed.    There are plenty of grant programs, even beauty school grants, but the key to getting this money lies in your ability to quickly get your FASFA completed and to meet the pell grant income requirements.
