School grants for felons can be found through a variety of resources online but typically you must complete a FASFA form first in order to get grant funding for school.   While we have many readers, with felony convictions, who have gone on to get a criminal justice degree online, some of our readers are reporting that dental assistant jobs are also quite common for those convicted of a felony.   If you are considering school, and if you have completed your FASFA and been approved for a Pell grant or other educational funding, then you may want to do a quick dental assistant job search to determine what jobs are in your state and what the specific requirements may be – even medical billing job openings can be found this way.   From what we understand a two-year technical degree, or certification, from a community college may be all that you need to start this great new career in the dental or health industry.   As always, it is important to think outside the box when considering options for your employment and we have found that education is paramount in helping felons finding jobs.   While not all jobs for ex felons are this easy to find, there are many opportunities that open up in unique field choices such as these.   Just do a Google search for dental assistant jobs and you may be surprised how easily this career path will fall into place for you!
